When choosing a pillow case, look for one that is 100% cotton. Babies tend to have very sensitive skin, and a pillow case made of cotton is the least likely to irritate or cause an allergic reaction. The pillow should not be stuffed with any form of feathers or down, either.

The most important thing to remember is that your infant cannot vouch for his or her own safety. You must be aware of the materials you supply in your child's bed and what possible hazards they could pose. If you make good decisions about little things like pillow cases, you'll be sure to carry through the same logic to larger decisions.
